The Fragility of Peace

The Fragility of Peace examines peace not as an ideal or a final state, but as a condition that is inherently unstable — temporary, vulnerable, and continuously under pressure. Rather than representing war as an explicit event, the work focuses on what precedes it, what sustains it, and what lingers in its aftermath.

The diptych Mother and Child approaches peace on a human scale. It reflects care, protection, and responsibility within a world where safety can never be assumed. Peace here is not abstract, but embodied — carried, guarded, and transmitted through intimate relationships. In Polarisation, peace begins to fracture. Social and ideological tensions accumulate beneath the surface, revealing how division takes shape long before conflict becomes
